GoldenRatioFit ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application (the "App"). By using GoldenRatioFit, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you sign in using Apple Sign-In, we receive:

  • Your Apple User ID (anonymous identifier)
  • Your name (if you choose to share it)
  • Your email address (if you choose to share it)

1.2 Health and Fitness Data

With your explicit permission, we collect and process:

  • Body measurements (weight, shoulder circumference, waist circumference)
  • Height and age
  • Workout data (exercises completed, sets, reps, duration)
  • Body mass index and body fat estimates
  • Daily calorie and macro intake (protein, carbohydrates, fats)
  • Supplement tracking data

1.3 Progress Photos

You may choose to upload progress photos to track your body transformation. These photos are stored securely and are only accessible to you through your iCloud account.

1.4 Usage Data

We collect anonymous app usage statistics to improve the App, including:

  • Feature usage patterns
  • App performance metrics
  • Crash reports (via Apple's built-in systems)

1.5 Subscription Data

Through RevenueCat, we receive subscription status information to determine your access level. We do not receive or store your payment information—all payments are processed securely by Apple.

We use your information to:

  • Provide personalized workout programs based on your body type and goals
  • Calculate your golden ratio progress and track improvements
  • Generate macro nutrition targets tailored to your body
  • Enable progress photo timelines and visual comparisons
  • Maintain streak tracking across multiple categories
  • Send milestone notifications and workout reminders (if enabled)
  • Sync your data across your iOS devices via CloudKit
  • Process and manage your subscription status

3. HealthKit Integration

GoldenRatioFit integrates with Apple HealthKit to provide a comprehensive fitness experience:

3.1 Health Data We Read

  • Body weight
  • Height
  • Active energy burned
  • Workouts completed in other apps

3.2 Health Data We Write

  • Body weight (from your weigh-ins)
  • Workouts completed in GoldenRatioFit
  • Active calories burned during workouts

Important: HealthKit data is only accessed with your explicit permission. You can revoke this permission at any time in your iOS Settings. We do not use your health data for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 CloudKit Sync

Your data is synchronized across devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This means:

  • Your data is stored on Apple's secure servers
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • You can delete your data from all devices by deleting it from one device
  • Your data is tied to your Apple ID

4.2 Local Storage

A copy of your data is also stored locally on your device for offline access. This local data is protected by iOS security features.

4.3 Photo Storage

Progress photos are stored in your private iCloud Photo Library via CloudKit. We cannot access your photos without your device, and they are not shared with any third parties.

6.1 Access and Export

You can access all your data within the App. If you need to export your data, please contact us at support@goldenratiofit.com.

6.2 Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings. When you delete your account:

  • All profile information is permanently deleted
  • All progress photos are removed from CloudKit
  • All workout and health data is deleted
  • Subscription data is removed from our systems

6.3 HealthKit Permissions

You can modify or revoke HealthKit permissions at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > GoldenRatioFit.

6.4 Notifications

You can enable or disable push notifications in the App settings or through iOS Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

GoldenRatioFit is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@goldenratiofit.com and we will delete the information.

8. Supplement Tracking

The App allows you to track supplements, including performance-enhancing substances. This information is:

  • Stored locally on your device and in your private CloudKit container
  • Used only to adjust workout recommendations within the App
  • Never shared with third parties
  • Completely optional—you are not required to track any supplements

Tracking supplements does not constitute medical advice or endorsement. Always consult a healthcare professional before taking any supplements.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as you maintain an active account. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Anonymous usage statistics may be retained for analytics purposes but cannot be linked back to you.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
